Photographic Center Northwest invites you to mark your calendar for Saturday, September 29 and plan to attend a remarkable celebration with internationally acclaimed photographer Keith Carter of Beaumont, Texas. Selected not only for the singular nature of his work, but also for his lifelong commitment to photographic education, Keith Carter has published nine monographs of his black and white photographs. Called "a poet of the ordinary" by the Los Angeles Times, Keith Carter's haunting, enigmatic photographs have been widely exhibited in Europe, The U.S., and Latin America, and are included in numerous permanent collections.

Beginning with drinks and hors d'oeuvres in PCNW's acclaimed gallery, the evening will conclude with a three-course dinner and auction in PCNW's festive on-site tent. Photographers from across the country have donated works to be auctioned in support of PCNW's programs and facilities.

Keith Carter, whose widely published work has won him an international reputation, will preside as our guest of honor.

All proceeds will benefit the ongoing programs of the Photographic Center Northwest, a nonprofit photographic school, gallery and community resource located on Seattle 's Capitol Hill.

This event promises to be an evening celebrating the achievement and contribution of photography in our lives and is an invitation to the Pacific Northwest community and beyond to come together to honor today's most powerful and relevant visual art form.
