The A.K. Shethar Library

The A.K. Shethar Library at Photographic Center Northwest is a collection of nearly 1,000 photographic books, videos, and DVDs. The library contains a large number artist monographs, works of criticism, as well as books offering technical instruction. It is named for our Founder, Alin Shethar.

Located on the ground floor immediately adjacent to the reception area, the A.K. Shethar Library is available for use during all hours the facility is open. Usage is limited to currently enrolled students, members, and faculty. Books may not be removed from the library area, except by faculty.

A catalogue of works in our library is available sorted by call number or by photographer. If you have trouble reading the library lists, you may need to download a current version of Acrobat Reader from Adobe.

Books are added to our library through purchase and donation. A Wish List of some of the books currently being sought can be found and purchased at Amazon. This list also appears below. If you would like to make one of these books available to PCNW through a gift, or have other volumes you would like to donate, please contact Ann Pallesen, Gallery Director.
