Class Registration

Winter 2010 registration is currently open.

Priority registration deadline: December 15th, 2009*.

*Certificate students registering by the priority deadline will be given first priority in winter courses. All other registrations will be processed in the order of receipt. After the priority registration period ends, enrollment confirmations will be sent out via mail.

Students may register:

  • Online
  • by phone: (206) 720-7222 x10.
  • in person with PCNW front desk staff.

Fees:

  • Tuition fees: tuition is $210.00 per credit hour.
  • Other Fees: Textbooks, photocopied material, and/or materials fees may be required for some courses; please refer to course descriptions for details.

Payment:

  • Cash, check, Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
  • Due at registration:
    • Full Payment, OR
    • Non-refundable deposit of 10% of total tuition to hold spot in class, OR
    • 50% of total tuition to participate in 2 Part Payment Plan (see below for details) + additional $20 processing fee.

Once registration is processed, and enrollment confirmed, students will receive a confirmation form outlining tuition balance and payment options.

  • The tuition balance is due by the first day of the quarter, OR
  • Students may opt to add a $20 processing fee to pay tuition in two installments (2 Part Payment Plan).
    • First Payment = 50% of total tuition: due by the first day of the quarter.
    • Second Payment = remaining 50% of total tuition: due 28 days after the first day of the quarter.
    • Those opting to participate in the 2 Part Payment Plan must provide credit card information for billing purposes by the first day of the quarter.

Class Cancellation / Drop Policy

  • Course cancelled by the Photo Center: Enrolled students will receive a full refund.
  • If a student withdraws from a class prior to the first day of the academic quarter as published on the Photo Center Web site, the Photo Center retains 10% of the total tuition (non-refundable deposit).
  • If a student withdraws on or before the 14th day of the academic quarter, the Photo Center retains 50% of total tuition (including the non-refundable deposit equal to 10% of the total tuition).
  • The drop period is defined as the first 14 days of the academic quarter as published on the Photo Center Web site. Students who withdraw after the 14th day of the quarter are not eligible to receive a refund.

In any case in which a refund is due a student, the refund shall be made within 30 days of receiving the student's notice of cancellation or withdrawal from the school. Tuition refunds will be issued in the form of a check.

Attendance Policy

To retain your place in a class, you must attend the first class session.

Darkroom, Digital Lab and Studio Access

Students enrolled in a 10-week course seeking to rent darkroom, digital lab and/or studio facilities to complete assignments outside of class, may rent facilities at PCNW on an hourly basis. Students may also opt to pre-pay for a block of hours– pre-paid blocks expire on the last day of each academic quarter.

Workshop Registration

Workshop registrations are processed in the order of receipt.

  • Workshops: Full tuition + registration fee is due at the time of registration.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:

  • If a student withdraws more than seven days before the start of their workshop, they are eligible for a full refund of tuition paid (less the registration fee).
  • Students cancelling less than seven days before the workshop start date will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Workshop cancelled by PCNW: Enrolled students will receive a full refund, including the registration fee.
